From Perfect Harmony to Besties: A Rock Academy Success Story

Finding a friend who shares your passion is like hitting the perfect high note. At The Rock Academy’s holiday programme, that’s exactly what happened for two young singers who walked in as strangers and left as a powerhouse duo.

A Holiday for Musical Minds

The holiday programme isn’t your typical childcare. Designed specifically for musical kids, it’s a high-energy mix of songwriting sessions, band jamming, and even daily busking trips to the streets of Wellington.

For these two girls, the bond was instant. Whether they were perfecting harmonies during singing lessons or cheering each other on during a round of four square at the park, they found a unique community of like-minded creatives.

Leveling Up Together

Both girls are also students of The Rock Academy’s singing lessons, where they work with dynamic mentors to build:

  • Vocal Technique: Strengthening their range with fun, modern songs.

  • On-the-Fly Coaching: Receiving expert tips on breath work and confidence while performing.

  • Stage Presence: Getting comfortable behind the mic through regular gig opportunities.

Why It’s a Must for Your Young Musician

The Rock Academy creates a space where kids aren't just learning notes—they’re building confidence that lasts. Between the afternoon band school sessions and the collaborative songwriting, it’s a place where "overnight personality changes" are common as kids find their voice.

If your child is ready to find their rhythm (and maybe a new best friend), check out the next holiday programme booking before spots fill up!
