Teenage Prodigies Rock Newtown, Wellington

Updated: Jun 9, 2022

Loose Heads have been with The Rock Academy band school programme for 5 years now and they are impressing everywhere they play. Currently aged around fifteen the boys started their band when they were nine. They wrote their first song 'Gotta Survive' (based on a video game) one year later and performed it at the Wellington Smokefree Rock Quest. They went on to get the biggest reaction of the whole day with their high energy performance complete with Keith Richards like swagger and rock salutes to the crowd. They recorded their first EP at The Armoury in Wellington.

Here Loose Head performed for the mental health awareness week concert at Carara Park in Newtown and delivered one of the best sets from a young band I've ever seen.

Band School Concert Performance

In a dimly lit venue tucked between cafés and bookstores, a young band stepped onto the stage and delivered the kind of performance that reminds you why live music matters. A Room Full of Anticipation
