Musical Highlights from Wellington's Rock Academy School Holiday Programme

Kia ora The Rock Academy family.

This week, during the school holiday programme in, we had an amazing time busking rain or shine. From Monday to Tuesday, we spent our time practicing classic hit songs, perfecting our melodies and getting them just right. Once we felt confident with our tunes, we took to the streets of Kilbernie and started busking, earning some pocket money for our efforts.

Mid-week, on Wednesday and Thursday, we had the pleasure of hosting a music workshop for children at the local hall. The workshop provided children with the opportunity to practice and play in bands, teaching them valuable lessons about playing with others and developing their teamwork skills. It was wonderful to see how quickly they picked up on the music and how much fun they had playing together.

Overall, the school holiday programme was a great success, and we were thrilled to have been a part of it. Busking gave us the opportunity to share our passion for music with others and earn a bit of extra money on the side. We also enjoyed the music band school/workshop and had a great time seeing the children learn and grow as musicians. We can't wait to do it all again!
