Meet Ollie – Drum Tutor at The Rock Academy

We’re pumped to have Ollie on board at The Rock Academy! With over 15 years of drumming experience, Ollie brings a versatile, passionate approach to the kit. He studied music at Whitireia, earning a Level 5 diploma, and has since built a solid reputation as both a performer and educator.

Ollie is a proud ACO musician – Artist, Composer, and Original. He currently drums for the band Adoneye and works across a range of side projects, exploring everything from rock to funk, hip-hop to jazz. His playing is expressive and dynamic, and he loves inspiring students to find their own unique voice behind the drums.

As a teacher, Ollie creates a fun, supportive learning environment. He has experience running both private and group lessons in schools and works well with beginners through to advanced students. Whether your child wants to play in a band, improve technique, or just have fun learning grooves, Ollie is ready to help them rock.
