🎶 Holiday Program Highlights: Busking, Beats & Big Fun!

ree

Thanks to all the kids, families, and helpers who made this week one to remember. We can’t wait to do it all again next holidays!

This school holiday program was an absolute hit — full of music, energy, and sunshine! Our group of 16 talented young musicians spent their week busking daily, filling the streets with song, laughter, and the joyful sounds of creativity.

From confident singers to rockstar guitarists, pounding keyboard players to percussion champions, every child found their rhythm — and their voice. We took along busking amps for our vocalists and set up a great little street stage each day. Some kids earned between $10 and $20 a day, learning not just about performing, but about courage, connection, and community. The experience was a huge confidence booster — for many, their first time performing in public!

🎸 What Went Down

  • 🎤 Singers took the mic and shone bright with their favorite tunes

  • 🎹 Keyboardists hammered out melodies like pros

  • 🎸 Guitarists rocked hard (as they always do!)

  • 💰 Everyone got a taste of real-life music hustle — and loved it!

🌞 Eva’s Hall: The Perfect Base

We ran the program from Eva’s Hall, which turned out to be a dream venue:

  • Sun-soaked rooms and beautiful wooden floors

  • Loads of space to set up gear, rehearse, and jam

  • Plus: Table tennis battles and fierce but friendly handball (or foursquare!) tournaments that had everyone on their feet

It wasn’t just music — it was music and mayhem in the best possible way.

🤝 What Makes This Program Special?

One of the best parts of this holiday program is the inclusive, friendly vibe. Kids from all over came together, supported one another, and made fast friends. Many are now regulars, returning each holidays to build on their music, meet new mates, and have a blast.

Whether it was a jam session, a cheeky table tennis rivalry, or the thrill of dropping coins in a case on the street, the smiles said it all.
