Female music teachers on the rise

Writer's picture: Geoff DayGeoff Day

Over the last 25 years, we have seen a rise in the number of female guitar and music teachers working here at The Rock Academy. Around a third of our music teachers are female now compared to zero when we started. It is so great having a gender mix! The same can be said regarding our pupils. The number of female pupils has risen dramatically. For example; our first female pupil attended our holiday programme about 9 years ago and now females can outnumber

the males. Rock on girls!!!
