How to start a band:

If you want to join a band here is how to do it in 7 easy steps.

  1. Find some friends who play an instrument
  2. Find somewhere to practice
  3. Choose some easy songs
  4. Make sure the singer can sing the songs. If not change the key of the song.
  5. Practice
  6. Book a gig at a local jam night
  7. Have fun!

Gigs for young musicians:
Playing live is great for getting the adrenaline pumping and it also boosts their confidence to a new level. Open mic nights can be great with a requirement of only a few songs.

Open Mic Nights:
Depending on the bar there should be some amps and even a drum kit already there. All you need is two or three songs and you are ready to rock!

The Night, Sound Surfers and Loose Cannons all performed extremely well and had the full attention of the crowd.
